What is Quran Chat?
A free service that helps you understand the verses of the Holy Quran through conversation. Ask about a verse or a meaning, and the assistant shows you its tafsir from recognised books, with the source cited.
Is the service free?
Yes — completely free, with no subscriptions or fees. It is a community initiative from Watsio in service of the Book of Allah.
How do I ask about a specific verse?
Type the surah name and verse number, like “Al-Baqarah 255” or “2:255”, paste the verse text, or ask about its meaning in your own words.
Can I ask without knowing the verse number?
Yes. Paste a few words of the verse in Arabic, as you remember them, and the assistant will find it. To search by a word or topic, type it in Arabic — for example «الصبر».
Can I use it on WhatsApp?
Yes. Tap “Ask on WhatsApp” to open the chat on your phone and ask in exactly the same way. You can save the number to come back anytime.
Do I need to create an account?
No. On the website you start chatting straight away, and on WhatsApp you simply send a message.
Which languages can I use?
Arabic or English. In English you get the verse with an English tafsir; some tafsir books are available in Arabic only.
Where do the answers come from?
Texts are quoted verbatim from recognised books of tafsir, with the source cited in every answer. Please refer to qualified scholars on religious matters.
Do the answers replace consulting scholars?
No. The service is a tool for understanding and reflection — not a source of fatwas. Please refer to qualified scholars for religious rulings.
