Surah Maryam, verse 81: meaning and tafsir
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمْ عِزًّا ٨١
They have taken gods other than Allah, in order that they may protect them [from punishment].
