Surah Al-An'am, verse 86: meaning and tafsir
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا ۚ وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٨٦
Also Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot – each of them We preferred over all other people [of their times].

86. In a similar way, I guided Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot (peace be upon them). I favoured all of them with prophethood, with Muhammad (peace be upon him) being the best of them, superior to all other people.
