“Call upon Me; I will respond to you” (Ghafir 40:60): Arabic, translation and tafsir
60. And your Lord hath said: Pray unto Me and I will hear your prayer. Lo! those who scorn My service, they will enter hell, disgraced.
Tafsir from Al-Mukhtasar (Concise Tafsir of the Noble Quran)
60. O people, your Lord said: “Call upon Me alone and worship Me alone, and do not associate any partner with Me. Those who are too arrogant in worshipping Me alone will enter the fire on the Day of Judgment, low and disgraced”.
From the Sunnah
Meaning: “Supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited: “And your Lord says: Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”
